Anime Prop Replicas & Cosplay Weapons

1:1 refers to the scaling of an item from life size proportions, where 1:1 is life size and 1:2 is half of life size. 1:1 anime prop replicas are mainly non-functional prop items that are recreated based on their respective anime in life size proportions for display, cosplay, or photography purposes.

Most prop replica sword/katanas come in standard sizes between 39 and 41 inches. Some items are scaled differently at 1:1 for smaller items like Sukuna's finger from Jujutsu Kaisen or larger items like Shunsui Kyoraku's sword from bleach

Bamboo props feature high tensile strength and a rigid, wood-like structure with organic high-end textures. It mimics the weight and straight line of real swords (like anime katanas) without a sharp edge. These are generally accepted at conventions, though security may require it to be zip-tied.

Plastic props mold easily into intricate details, complex curves, and hollow or solid shapes. It resists splintering but can crack or snap under heavy impact. These are universally approved at conventions but may still need to pass security checks.

A combination of the 2 may be used for LED vapor effect prop replicas, though the effects are mainly obtained through plastic.
